Omair Azam

Omair Azam is an associate director at Crowell & Moring International, based in the firm’s Singapore office. He advises multinationals, their trade associations, and other global stakeholders on policy and strategy priorities, with particular focus and experience in the life sciences, innovative biopharmaceutical, and medical technology sectors.

Prior to joining C&M International, Omair held a number of positions in the nonprofit sector. At Vital Strategies, he managed projects in the Philippines, Indonesia, and China to improve the quality of health data available to policy makers as well as improve decision making and planning. Before that, he worked in Nigeria for several years on behalf of Adam Smith International, managing a UKAid-funded education and job placement program that aimed to place 68,000 marginalized young people into jobs, and also at the Clinton Health Access Initiative, where he supported the federal government in improving immunization coverage rates as part of the national Expanded Program on Immunization. Omair started his career at Synovate Healthcare in China, based in Beijing, where he ran market research studies for pharmaceutical and medical technology clients. Omair speaks Punjabi, Mandarin Chinese, Urdu, French, and Spanish to varying degrees of fluency.
