CMI drafted a primer guide to to the Cross Border Privacy Rules (CBPR) system, a data transfer mechanism developed by the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum.
The Guide is now featured on the official website of the CPBR system.
Closing the Digital Skills Gap
CMI helped launch and has led efforts on the APEC Closing the Digital Skills Gap initiative, including by producing an annual public-private forum and developing a report of key recommendations to governments.

Policy Perspectives on Universal Health Coverage from the Innovative Biopharmaceutical Industry
CMI led consensus-building work and drafted a policy report on behalf of the membership of the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers & Associations (IFPMA), outlining key contributions by the biopharmaceutical industry to achieving the UN's Sustainable Development Goals related to universal health care.
APEC Action Plan on Rare Diseases Policy
The CMI team helped launch and continue lead an initiative to address barriers to the diagnosis and treatment of rare diseases in the Asia Pacific, including work to convene stakeholder dialogues, achieve consensus on policy recommendations, and draft a multi-year Action Plan for continued work within the APEC forum.
Sustainable Models for Healthcare Financing
The CMI team prepared a whitepaper for the Ministry of Finance of Thailand, in collaboration with a range of national and regional stakeholders, to present policy recommendations to increase access to healthcare by expanding the role of the private sector and exploring the use of innovative and alternative financing models to deepen the level of coverage.
Regulatory Harmonization for Medical Products
The CMI team worked with healthcare regulators and policymakers across the Asia Pacific to develop benchmarks and key performance indicators to measure progress toward a shared commitment to improve regulatory convergence for the approval of medical products.
